Leicestershire Rugby Union are currently seeking a Commercial Officer to join our team of volunteers to develop and monetise our successful brand promoting Grassroots Rugby and our member clubs.

This role will suit a proactive, “hands-on” individual, who is capable of working with a wide range of individuals and organisations, developing long term relationships.

Experience

–           Proven record of commercial acumen

–           Previous success in selling into the SME marketplace

–           Creating, packaging, presenting and delivering tailored sponsorship deals to potential partners

Skills and Attributes

–           A strong pro-active individual with the ability to work independently

–           Enthusiasm for grass roots sport.

–           High-level communication skillset

–           Work to targets and timelines

–           Be highly committed to the task

Responsibilities

–           Overall responsibility for attracting and retaining sponsorship for Leicestershire Rugby Union

–           Work in partnership with other stakeholders and the executive committee

Time Commitment

–           Contribute self-directed time and effort to the role, estimated up to 6 hours per week

–           Must be able to attend meetings if required and report on actions and progress made

This will be a paid role on derived income.
