Child safety is the primary focus of all Age Grade Rugby and Vunerable Adults.
We strictly adhere to all Regulations laid down by the RFU to ensure a safe, fun environment for your child to enjoy rugby.

If you would like to host a course at your Club can you please email sgmanager@leicestershirerugbyunion.co.uk with dates with a lead time of at least 6 weeks.
Play it Safe Safeguarding Course
This course is for any volunteer, coach or match official who is working or has responsibility for children and vulnerable adults within rugby. Identifying best practice, it provides information and guidance on the responsibilities and support available for ensuring children and vulnerable adults are safeguarded appropriately.

In Touch Safeguarding Course
By the end of the workshop participants will be able to define and explain the role and responsibility of an RFU Safeguarding Officer. The session will also identify the roles of club members and officers to promote best safeguarding practice. It will help identify best practice when recruiting in the club and how to apply the RFU Safeguarding Children Policy Guidance & Procedures and Safeguarding Toolkit. Finally it will assist in managing concerns.

So that the RFU can take an active role in the care and rehabilitation of catastrophically injured players, it is vital that the RFU is notified of all injuries that qualify by using the RFU’s Injury Report Form.
