Womens Club Bio:
Ladies, if you’re looking for a new sport or wish to carry on with the best then women’s rugby union is the place for you! We’re a welcoming, out-going and social club that quickly becomes an important part of every members university life.
We welcome anyone of any Rugby ability! Whether you’ve never picked up a Rugby ball or if you’ve been playing your whole life, we have something to offer you. At the beginning of every year we start with the basics (running, catching, passing and tackling) and throughout the year we will help you develop, with the help of our excellent coaching staff, into a seasoned Rugby player.
The best part of our Rugby year is our Varsity match against De Montfort University at the legendary Leicester Tigers Stadium. The match is the last and biggest event at Varsity as we play in front of thousands of supporters and so far we are undefeated champions winning every year for the last 13 years. We encourage everyone, friends and proud family members, to come and support!
Friends that you make within the club are friends that you have for life. Aside from our sporting endeavours we have legendary Wednesday night socials, a week long tour, meals out and a club awards at the end of the year!
By the time you leave university you will agree with us that joining ULWRFC was the best decision you ever made
