The passing of Queen Elizabeth II has rippled a great sadness throughout the UK and across the world.

The state funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday 19th September at 1100hrs BST, it is reported to be one of the biggest in history.

The invitation list comprises of almost 500 dignitaries from around the world, and taking their place alongside the visiting dignitaries will be 183 members of the public.

Those members of the public were all recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List earlier this year.
This includes none other than past President of the LRU, Barbara Crellin; who was awarded the MBE in June.

Here’s what she had to say:

“Such an overwhelming feeling of honour. I feel so humbled and privileged to have been invited to such an occasion. When they told me why they were calling, you could have knocked me down with a feather!”
