Leicestershire played some good rugby in the first half leading 19-0 at the half time break. In the second half, Leicestershire were forced into a number of changes due to school games played the previous day, but they continued to dominate the game pulling out to the 31-5 lead. With the lads in a strong position, coaches put a number of development players on who will play in next years campaign, for experience. NLD came back into the game scoring three try’s. The final score was 38-26.

One of the NLD players tragically lost his life last Sunday in an road accident, the quality of game played was a fitting tribute. A minutes silence was observed before the match.

Leicestershire Under 18s are the only unbeaten team left in this year’s campaign. They take on Warwickshire @ Broadstreet RFC on the 17th December KO 10.30 am.

Leicestershire girls also played away at Kettering. Both the U15’s and U18’s played against East Midlands. In both cases, East Midlands proved the better side going on to win both matches. They were tough games for our girls, but both side got stuck in and never gave up.
