How is your club doing since Return to Rugby?

Leicestershire Rugby Union have been thrilled to see our clubs return to rugby over the last few weeks and embracing the revised version of the game in Ready 4 Rugby.

Members of the executive have been delivering hand sanitisers for clubs who requested them to assist them with opening back up to their members. It was great to get out to clubs and see how you have all prepared your premises to limit any risks for your members and get clubs back up and running.

However, on our travels we observed some areas where we could possibly help your club with purchasing or hiring equipment that would make things easier for you and your members to stay safe and attend training and games. With this we want to remind clubs about the emergency funding we have.

Does your club:
Need a gazebo to help serve refreshments outside?
Need additional temporary toilets?
Need outdoor washing facilities?
Need additional more durable signage?
Need more permanent perspex screens?
Need more hand sanitising gel?
Need more bibs to allow for increased washing?

Now that you are back in your clubs, there may be items of funding that you did not think about before where we can help. We also now know we will not be returning to any contact competition/fixtures until at least January 2021, clubs must think about the coming months and their income and forecast where they can what their expenditure will be. We are here to help and have funding to distribute.
Here are more details for how your club can apply for funding and if you are not sure, then apply anyway and we can engage in a conversation with you for how we may be able to help or offer alternative support. Applications must come from club officials.
