I hope you and your families are all well. Grass roots rugby would not exist without you the Volunteers and this being Volunteer Week on behalf of Leicestershire Rugby Union I would like to thank you all for all the time you give to rugby in Leicestershire to make Grass Roots Rugby available to so many.
Usually at the end of the season we hold the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer Recognition Awards evening but due to the abrupt end to this season, we have not been able to thank those successful nominees. We will be holding an awards evening at a suitable time when the new season starts but thought this week was apt to announce those volunteers that have been recognised this year.

Nominations were open at the beginning of the year and was open for all to make a nomination. The final decisions are made by Mitsubishi Motors along side the LRU. The Volunteer of the Year for Leicestershire will be announced at the Awards Evening and Covid-19 permitting will be invited to a Presentation Evening at Twickenham where the overall Volunteer of the Year will be announced.
