Message from Joe Allen, Leicestershire U20’s Head Coach

Dear Coaches,

I am pleased to be writing to you as the newly appointed Head Coach of Leicestershire U20’s. We have put together a strong coaching team of Alex White, current 1st XV coach at Syston, and Steve Baker, Leicester Tigers community coach and Brooksby College forwards coach. I am excited to work with both of these coaches in aiming to bring out the best in the players in the county. Our aim is to challenge and support to make them better players for both you and us.

We would like to invite any players who aspire to represent the county to training on the following dates:

9/12/18 – Syston RFC – 1pm to 3pm
16/12/18 – Syston RFC – 1pm to 3pm
6/1/19 – Syston RFC – 1pm to 3pm
13/1/19 – Syston RFC – 1pm to 3pm
20/1/19 – ‘Preseason match’ Vs TBC
27/1/19 – Syston RFC – 1pm to 3pm
3/2/19 – Match: Warwickshire (A)
10/2/19 – Syston RFC – 1pm to 3pm
17/2/19 – Syston RFC – 1pm to 3pm
24/2/19 – Match: Buckinghamshire (H)
3/3/19 – Syston RFC – 1pm to 3pm
10/3/19 – Syston RFC – 1pm to 3pm
17/3/19 – Match: Oxfordshire (A)
We would also like to ask for your support in releasing players for training and matches. Many of the group will represent your club’s senior teams and will have gained a huge amount from these experiences over the season. I can assure you that our training plan will take into consideration the demands being made of the players.
