Age Grade Rugby (AGR) In Leicestershire is a player centered, development driven and competition supported approach to 6-18 year old rugby, is underpinned by the wants and needs of young players.

Leicestershire Rugby Union fully endorses the key RFU Guidance and works closely with its member clubs to adhere to the spirit and core values of the Age Grade Game in Leicestershire.

Festivals and Competitions

Leicestershire Rugby Union proudly hosts festivals and competitions for all age groups from U7’s through to Colts. They are run in accordance with AGR guidelines; for full information please click the relevant links below.

Age grade codes of practice

RFU Forms

Playing up/down an age group Note : an LRU form is also required. LRU age grade player assessment form

Combining two age groups, i.e. U9s/U10s etc.

Cluster Form– for clubs to combine the same age groups to give allow players the chance to play at the correct age grade.

Playing Adult Rugby – Club Approval Form – Club Safeguarding approval needs to be completed before approval.

Playing Adult Rugby – Player Approval Form – Club approval form to be completed before players can be approved.
